I went to the mall on Sunday. Which means that’s the day I lost all faith in humanity. If I can help it, I won’t go back. If I go back, I’ll need to be medicated first. Which is why I want to tell you about Amazon Prime. We have Amazon Prime and I encourage you to get it, too, and almost never go to the mall again. You should no longer equate Amazon with books. Oh, yeah, they have books and every other thing in the free world. The shipping is $79 for the entire year and you usually have your items in a couple of days. I order everything from Amazon and when you purchase items through the links on this post, you are supporting bloggers, who do much of their work for free. So, thank you in advance!
Here are a few things that might save you from dying a slow death trying to find a parking place at the mall.
(Today is the last day to order for free shipping AND guaranteed by Christmas. Most of the things I’m telling you about are things I’ve ordered very recently. As in one hour ago.)
Sugar Lips tank tops—This is the Christmas present to yourself. I wear one EVERY SINGLE DAY. THey are awesome, keep their shape, keep YOUR shape, etc. Shape wear at its best and with all the fudge I’ve made recently, I may need to wear two at a time.
I love candles and this Voluspa one would make a great gift. Or this Aspen Bay Volcano one.
Reed Diffusers are my love language and this is one of my favorites.
Next, up, BOOKS!
I give books as gifts every year and this year will be no different. These Coralie Bickford Smith clothbound penguin classics are my favorite gifts to give. I started a collection for my kids last year and I’ll be adding to it this year.
The artwork on these books is beautiful and they even have a set of children’s classics.
My dear friend, Melanie, has a new book coming out in February, so go ahead and preorder that one, too. I’m convinced we were separated at birth and I CANNOT wait to read this book about marriage. Watch the book trailer here.
Pioneer Woman has a new Holiday cookbook, which would make a great gift, along with a dishmat or a few kitchen goodies, like these mixing bowls
and this colorful set of spatulas to go with it!
That combo would be nearly the perfect gift for me and many of the peeps on your list, I’m sure.
Or how about finally using my pizza crust recipe and getting a pizza making gift set for someone, with this cast iron pizza stone
and pizza wheel.
and this pizza peel. BAM! Great gift, delivered to their door in time for Christmas!
I love these cowboy boots and after 3 years of almost daily wear, I think I’m due for some new ones.
It’s much easier to think of gifts in sets, so think of what your person might need and put together a little set for them. Amazon will probably have it.
******************************
Today is the last day to order from Noonday for Christmas.
I LOVE their stuff and when you purchase from Noonday, you are helping to create pathways for women out of poverty. My dear friend, Paige, is an ambassador for them.
Here a few of my favorites, in case you want to order me something!
The On the Mark necklace
Also, I’m a sucker for tea towels, in case you weren’t aware.
And, I want these earrings
Okay, just one more necklace.
And last, but not least. Nikon came out with the d7100, which is an upgrade from the d7000, which I’ve used for the past three years. You can get the d7000 for a STEAL now and it’s a great camera. So is the d7100, for a little more money. This would make the perfect gift for the aspiring photographer in your life! I just upgraded my camera, so I think a camera post is due soon!
Those are my faves for the day! I’ll be ordering til the end of the week I’m sure, so this post may have a part deux.
Happy gifting!

Loved this post, Edie, and your gift ideas. And, thanks for making me laugh out loud with your first paragraph. I, too, went to the mall this past weekend–and wondered why I thought that might be a good idea as soon as I saw the parking lot.
Merry Christmas to you!

I can vouch for the sugar lips tanks too. I took your advice from a previous post about them and ordered two. LOVE them. I wear one everyday and after tons of washing they still look brand new and do not stretch out or roll up like other spandex type tanks. Hope you have a Merry Christmas Edie!

Love this list! You can sign up for a 30 day trial of Amazon Prime just in time for the holidays. The trial converts to a full membership at the end of the 30 days. And as I am sure you know, you get access to 350,000 Kindle books in the lending library for free!
I am loving Amazon now that we live in the mountains and a trip to the store to pick up a command hook takes an hour round trip. Just a click and it’s in my mailbox in 2 days = love!
Also on my list this year is the Chain Mail Cast Iron Pan Scrubber (Amazon), NEST Fragrances NEST08-HL Holiday Scented Reed Diffuser (Amazon), and Adventure Project Haiti stoves for charitable donations (http://www.theadventureproject.org/splash/). The stoves are great for the cooks in your life.

can you explain the role the pizza peel plays? I’m hopeless in the kitchen but the while make your own pizza deal is so appealing I want to keep trying. can I give myself the gift of personal Edie led pizza making instruction? you’re my role model!

Ok, I finally bought a Sugarlips tank—I’m wondering how it can be one size? I’ll let you know if I love it!

I don’t think I’ve ever commented before, even though I follow your blog faithfully! (I found you through Denise Voccola; you will have to ask her how she and I become “Internet friends”!)
Anyway, I live in Starkville, MS, and that is where Aspen Bay candles are made! So, I love that you included them in your list, and I just had to comment!
Merry Christmas to you and your beautiful family!
(Not only do I avoid malls, BUT, I haven’t set foot in a Wal-Mart in over 2 years!!)

Awesome list, Edie! I love Amazon too, but worry that they are putting the little guys out of business. Plus, they REALLY raise their prices this time of year. Food for thought.

You’re preaching to the choir here, Edie. Amazon and I have been..ahem…*involved* for years. And it’s true, you can find pretty much anything there. My husband once even found wheel bearings to fix our car for cheap on Amazon.
Glad to see some scents you recommend! Candles and perfumes are the one thing I’m hesitant to buy online, since you can’t smell in advance.
Cheers,
Heather

I couldn’t agree more. I generally avoid the mall and went twice this year and I do LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my Amazon Prime! It is money well spent when you consider all that you can get sent directly to you! Have a wonderful holiday!

I live in the middle of nowhere, which make Amazon prime all the better! I save so much time and money with it, and then when I do shop in real life, I have time to visit all the small local shops that I love so much, too!

This is a great list of gifts that is presented above. I especially like the idea of a Nikon Camera because that is always useful gift that anyone could enjoy. I think another great gift is a new car. During the holidays there are always great deals on cars, you just have to do some research to find the perfect one. I always recommend people to look for Sign and Drive Lease Deals because you could get a great deal on a very nice car. Happy Holidays!

One other option I love is BlindSurprise.com for last minute gifts.
Blind Surprise works with up and coming designers and artists, to get unique products to the market that you cannot find in stores. A unique surprise gifting experience – receive a mystery box at your door that could contain any beautiful product from a US artist. And you sign up with your interests, so the gift is selected to fit the personality of the recipient.
