This post has 3 clearly defined objectives.
1. I wanted to make sure you saw my new button. Isn’t she lovely? She’s located at the bottom of the page.
2. Because it makes me feel like I’m giving an important presentation:
I wanted to use the ‘block quote’ box; which one would use for highlighting important points. You may argue that this is not a particularly important point, but I’d beg to differ.
3. a. I was thinking of hosting a linky party to feature painted patio furniture. What do you think? Would you participate? How much time do you need?
b. I fell behind on anwering emails during my sons’ graduation. If you have a question for me, ask away. It can be anything. And I’ll copy Kimba and answer you here on the comments. And if I can’t answer it here for reasons of posterity, I’ll let you know.
For example, someone ask me where I got the dress I wore to Taylor’s graduation party…….
answer: Maurice’s about 3 years ago.
Example 2: Do you watch tv? Not much. I watch 24, Grey’s Anatomy and Lost. That’s about it. I’m not a fan of reality tv which constitutes about 90% of what’s on tv. We’ve tried different methods for our kids—-no tv during the week, very limited tv with no set guidelines. In general, if you ask my kids, they’ll say that ‘mom says tv turns your brain to mush’.
c. I haven’t added back a blogroll to my blog yet. Do you like blogrolls? I’m thinking of making it a separate page that you have to click to get to. Do you prefer them on the side? Tell me all your blogroll wisdom.

Blogrolls: ehhh, don’t use them much, but then I don’t have a lot of time on the computer much anymore
Just had to say I adore your blog, I’ve even got my daughter hooked on it! And have my husband talked into painting the cabinets in the bathroom! THANK YOU! LOL
Painted porch furniture: Awesome, I suppose I’d have to buy some porch furniture first though.

Blogrolls are fine…up to the individual blogger…I don’t look at other people’s blogrolls though!

Your graduation party looked wonderful!

Your new button – lovely. My blog roll is on a separate page, it works better for me that way.

Love your new button! I would definitely link up my painted patio furniture. It’s one of my proudest accomplishments! Right after birthing my two kids. LOL!

Can I post my unpainted patio furniture that needs to be painted?
I enjoy blogrolls – as a separate click or on the side.

I'm in. I'd need about 2 weeks tho. I planned on scraping off the rust this week but it's raining until Friday! I hope to scrape this weekend & paint next week. Cool idea!
Jen - Balancing Beauty and Bedlam says
I do use blogrolls on others. When I first started blogging, that’s how I found blogs. I haven’t added one to mine just because of time. 🙂
My questions – how do you do that block quote thing. I have always wanted to look professional like you. 🙂

I would love to participate in a painted patio furniture party. I’d say gimme a couple weeks. Of course my timeline means nothing, but thought I’d tell ya’ anyway.
I really like the new button, by the way. Actually, I liked the old one too.
Have a great day!

i actually am probably one of the few who likes blogrolls and here’s why, if i like your blog there’s a good chance i’ll like the blogs you read. i use it to find new blogs to read.
here’s what i don’t like about it: i don’t like mine on the front page, so i made a separate page for it. i also don’t know what to do when i stop reading a blog for whatever reason and feel like i’m misleading people who visit my blogroll, but hate to take it off lest i hurt someone’s feelings.
i don’t think i have any decent patio furniture to paint. i’m still planning on my wall of fame though!

I like a sidebar blogroll myself, but as I find myself reading more and more blogs, I’m considering moving my blogroll to a separate page. I’ve found a lot of great blogs from looking at other’s blogrolls.

If we had our deck already, I’d totally join up on your painted patio furniture—I almost cried when I saw the perfect metal patio bench at Salvation Army today…it was just itching for me to paint it and bring it home…. 😉

Edie love your new layout and what a cute little button, I need one!! I like blogrolls, thats how I find new blogs to read and meet new friends 🙂 I don’t really have any patio funiture to paint although I could spray paint my iron table on my back deck. I do have an 1920’s sewing table I am fixing to spray paint could I enter that? Hope your weeks going great!!!

Hmmmm, I’ve been thinking about painting my patio furniture . . . this might be the push I need!

I have painted tons of patio furniture this year, though none of it is as fun as your yellow set. All I would need to do is put together a post, so whenever you have a party, I’ll be there!

Love your new button 🙂 I wish I could participate in the “painted patio furniture” but I’m in the process of acquiring some new “old” ones 🙂 I like the blogroll, that’s where I find new ones to read. I do like the suggestion of it being on another page 🙂
Question??? How do you do the “block” quote box?

Love your button, not to mention your site all around! And bring on the blogroll!
podso says
I like the button very much. I think your blog is great as is. A blog roll–is that links to other blogs, or letting you see who is reading your blog? Anyway, I think the books you are reading are more interesting than the blog links, but you probably have room for both. Keep up the good work!

Nice blog, here is some more information on Contemporary Patio Furniture.

I love your quote box- how very important!! And blogrolls, I hate how much space it takes on my sidebar, I feel bad I don’t add everyone I read, BUT I don’t move it because it has my top faves and when they update so I can easily get to any new ones I haven’t read- quickly and easily. The rest of my reads I follow I just check out their blog when I have free time and because it’s not often they usually have updated. Basically it’s personal preference.
Oh, do the painted patio furniture party- I totally love seeing how creative people get and I’m looking for ideas.
Denise says
I’ll participate in the painted furniture if you advise me on a color. I know what I *should* paint it, but it may be too boring. After all it will be on my front porch. Maybe if I accessorize with colorful pillows it will be okay. Anyway, if you name the date, it will force me to get it done. After recital, okay?
Love the button and am jealous of the new blog. One of these days, I’ll have to have a redo. Let’s talk!
Love blog rolls; separate page is fine.
Hopefull says
most beautiful bloggy button ever 🙂 I am now looking for a light blue and red dress for the summer to match it.
I totally go to blogrolls on another page – I agree with chickadee on why I like them

What an awesome blog! This is my first visit, but i will definitely be checking in often! Love it! I have a button too, if you want to pick mine up you are welcome to! Have a blessed Thursday!

Firstly, YES! Do a painted porch furniture party. I am currently working on mine, in fact just posted a snippet of it on my blog.
Secondly, I love blogrolls. Just because I have seriously found bunches of neat blogs that way! 🙂
Thirdly, LOVE your button and will add it to my blog b/c I love your blog! 🙂

I just did my first “block quote box” the other day as well! I think they look neat when you really want to make the text stand out! – I just have to remember to use it! LOL
Love your new button – I think I changed yours on my blog roll page the other day – so yes, I like them on another page. and I love looking at other people’s blog rolls – it’s how I find new blogs sometimes!!

I know readers of my blog who have told me they love Blogrolls, especially those who are new to blogging.
That’s how they find blogs they know they will probably enjoy.

Love the design of your label! I’ve seen some startup blogrolls before, but nothing with the unique templates like yours. I write a blog for a Baltimore deck company and try to write from a homely perspective. That’s why I search for posts that try and intertwine remodeling with lifestyle.
