This is where I confess to you my absolute inability to resist homeade fudge. I briefly tried today to see how long I could make one piece last. My spiritual gift is not will power. It wasn’t pretty.
But fudge freezes so maybe I’ll put the bounty in the freezer. Not that that would really stop me either. This link party could drive me to the point where I throw in the towel and buy pants with a stretchy waist band. It wouldn’t be a very far drive. To paraphrase the Nester, my overzealous January self will loathe undisciplined December self. But all that said, I can’t wait to see your recipes! I’m still making my way through your delicious looking appetizers. Keep ’em coming!
All this talk of pants reminds me of a priceless video of a very funny hometown girl, Leanne Morgan, and her first trip to buy ‘low risin’ blue jeans’. It’s hilarious.
And now, it’s your turn!
Oh I love that video. How funny. Thanks for a giggle today.
I hope you’re still my friend after reading my post. 🙂 LOL. Btw, I told the Blissdom ladies in no exact words (OK maybe they were my exact words), they’d be CRAZY not to have you as a keynote speaker this year. Love ya! Jess
A few things from me…
1. Ain’t no shame in stretchy pants.
2. Fudge in your freezer will call to you late at night begging to be set free.
3. Love the video clip. Anyone that pronounces “Gap” with 2 syllables is truly from east TN. Bless her heart.
4. In a bizarre version of six degrees of separation, the cool chick that does step class literally right next to me twice a week at the gym asked me today how I knew you since she follows your blog too. She’s a serious follower and is even “subscribed”. How’s that for a small world? She’s also impressed that I have actually seen you do a hitch kick in real life.
PS- the Foo dogs rule.

Hi Edie! I have been reading your blog for a few years but I have never commented before. I have shared a few recipes and most of them are easy enough that your little girls could tackle on their own! Your new house is absolutely beautiful and I am so happy to see the loveliness that rose from the ashes…I hope it heals your heart! Wishing you a wonderful Christmas! It is a privelege to read your blog! Angie xo

Well, of course, today was out of control and I didn’t get my recipe made. I’m going to try and link up later, if nothing happens tomorrow. Thanks for hosting again. I got some great recipes last year. Ruthanne made my cookies and took such great pictures of them. I need to hire her to do that for me this year.
I’m glad or not that I came over to check this party out…stretchy pants for me too!
Debbie
I would have love to join, but I haven’t started my Xmas cookies yet :-(( It is planned for next week…. All those recipes look so yummy!
That video was hysterical! I’ll have to look Leanne Morgan up and follow her humor, I’m moving to Maryville pretty soon and the “southern humor” will be delightful after coming from Chicago! As for the “fudge”, my daughter and I call it “budge” because it lands on your hips and doesn’t budge!
That video cracked me up! too funny! Thanks so much for hosting! YUMMY!
There are so many amazing sweet treats here. I’m a bit late to the party. I wanted to make these yesterday but while cleaning the house like a crazy lady, I hurt my neck. It was one of those I can’t believe this happened now moments. But I am here today with lots of ice, heat and Icy Hot, a bit of Motrin and a few good strong cups of coffee with peppermint mocha half & half.
Thanks for hosting this yummy party.
Hugs,
Ruth
p.s. I have been meaning to ask how your dog is doing after boot camp? Hope he is a lot better.
I can’t resist fudge either! 🙂 Thanks for hosting this party. There are so many delicious recipes here!
Looks like some great recipes here!! I’m going to be in trouble, too!! Thanks for hosting it! 🙂
Edie, the recipe’s are unbelievable no doubt. But the star of this show is the video. I nearly died laughing….thank you for sharing! I’ve busted my low-rise zipper and my gut at this point. 🙂
