      Thank you for sharing so much of your life with us.  I am enjoying reading your blog and there is so much catching up to do!  I shared with you somewhere else in the archives but do not remember where! I just wanted to share this poem that has helped me over the years with many trials and tribulations.  I lost my business to a fire, a quaint little country primitive store. I put so much of myself into making it what it was and had several family antiques as display pieces.
      They were just material things but it hurt greatly nontheless. Heres the poem I have framed hanging in my bathroom,
      A Truth
      A truth I’ve learned with passing years,
      Significant, sublime,
      That all life’s problems
      right themselves
      If only given time.

    Beautiful picture!  I have been thinking of you and your family this week.  Thank you for being such an example to us all this past year.  I am still amazed at the measure of grace God has equipped you with. You have shared so much more than you realize…laying your testimony out for all to see each day. I didn’t know who you were a year ago but I have been blessed by the things you have shared. Plus I am amazed at what you have accomplished in 1 short year.

    You don’t know me…but I woke up thinking about you and all that God has done in your life this year and it is such a testimony of His faithfulness.  2011 has probably been one of the most difficult for our family…. and one of the most wonderful.  Merry Christmas!

    Edie-you have been on my heart this week. I knew the anniversary was coming up. We, too, have had sadness on this same day. Today is the two year anniversary of my husband’s brother. He was plucked from our lives far too early and left a void within us. You have been such a godly example through your trial and such an encouragement to lift my eyes up to the hill where my help comes from. Thank you for openly sharing your heart and struggles through this trial.

    What a beautiful song and very meaningful.  I am new to your blog, honestly can’t remember how I stumbled on to it but so thankful that I did.
    You are an amazingly strong woman and such a role model. Your children are blessed to have you as a mother. Thank you for sharing everything.
    I am always telling my daughters that yes life can hand you a raw deal but it’s how you come out of it that makes you a better person. You are a great example of this.

    Dear Edie…I didn’t know about your blog last year when you had the fire. I know the depth of feelings of gratitude to just still be alive..as
    2 years ago Christmas Eve we survived what should have been the end of 4 lives. It changed us forever. I have been so blessed to see your
    Process of restoration..Indeed He makes ALL things new!!

    Just spent about an hour catching up on your blog. Haven’t visited since March when my laptop died {Ruby, God rest her soul} and I still haven’t figured out how to do an RSS feed on Google Chrome.   I am so glad that y’all are in your new house.  I remember being absolutely devastated to read  about the fire and praying for you guys to find comfort.  Your tragedy caused me to do some thinking and examining.  I won’t go into details, but I just thought maybe it would, hopefully, encourage you that God used this situation to speak to others.  May 2012 be filled with much wonderful memory making in your new house.
