good luck with the remainder of the move. LOVE your header, btw. You look amazing, and is that a cherry tree? Oh my, what an inspiring photo-
anyway, WOW, what a great list. Life of Pi, & 100 Years of Solitude are some that I’d like to read, may not make my list at this point, but some that jumped out that are also on my ‘mental’ list. Can’t seem to get the list made! That post will come…. for the time being, I’m just doing well to do the daily devotional, Diligently Seeking God, by Gary Henry. Great read, simple, but deeply convicting.
I’ve started Gilead, since new year, but have only made it through a few pages.
happy new year!

can you be my mentor? Wish we actually knew each other. I love reading your blog and as a new mom and lover of learning I am encouraged by your posts of continuing to make time to learn as well as develop your children.

I’ve read a few of the books on your list…Life of Pi, Secret Life of Bees, and Hidden art of Homemaking…all are good. Secret life of bees is sad but, very well written. Have fun!

I’m so impressed with how much you read last year…I’m doing the Bible in 90 days right now, so other reading is mostly on hold, but I look forward to trying to step it up a bit once this project is finished. Great job!

Edie!
Wow~ I really hope you can do it! I set my goals much lower with 12 books for the entire year. I wish you could read all of those for the both of us! I’m so excited about your transition to wordpress… please shoot me any questions you have! I’m no expert but I’ve made the same transition and have a couple months under my belt! Also, all of my comments came with me and my photos. Let me know if you want my guys info… because I can be of no help on how all of the “migration” took place… but he did make it flawless!I love the turquiose and red… it’s all so fabulous! I’m about to take a tour around! Hugs to you and I’m a tad jealous about Blissdom… but maybe we can meet up another time this year!? Hug those sweet girls and I’m anxious to see what y’all have been up to back in the classroom… I hope you don’t let the person who made a harsh comment prevent you from posting HS stuff because I want to learn a lot from you this year before we decide what do, as far as schooling, with our own children! Ok… longest comment in the history of mankind!

What an amazing list of books that you have read. I have a goal of reading many books this year, but I may pull a few off your list. THomas Paine, John Locke, Benjamin Franklin…just to name a couple.
Which non fiction book was your favorite to read?

How do you determine your book list? Are they books that you have been wanting to read or is it a list posted somewhere? Just curious. I have several on my list, but my husband is the one who is better about reading so many books a month. I tend to wander too much into my music and writing to stick with a very long list. But I admire those who do. Happy reading!
