Whew!!! I don’t know about you but I’m kinda sad it’s day 12! I’ve had so much fun with this series and am most grateful for the wonderful contributors who have given of their time and ideas to make it all happen! Let’s recap:
On the 12th day of Christmas, my blog friend gave to meand a dishmat made by Dar-by!
The following is a pic-tutorial of how to create your own labels in Microsoft Word.
A few words to the wise:
1. Print on plain paper first
2. Use solid sheets of “label paper” {so they will be stickers–that you can cut out in your desired shape}. Be sure you get ink jet paper for an ink jet printer or laser paper for a laser printer.
3. Make your margins smaller so you can squeeze more on a page
And just to prove to you that you can do it, look what I made yesterday! Thanks so much Darby for your endless inspiration!
Note: For all you who are considering bifocals {like me} here’s the link to the post on Darby’s blog. You can click on her pictures to enlarge them! You’re welcome.
How cute – I just love those!!
Oh, I can see myself doing this! So cute!
Thank you sooooo much for all the great ideas this month. This is the month when I needed them to begin making my plans…for a much better organized and pleasant Christmas. And I really, really would like the necklace. 🙂 I really, really need that reminder. Bless you, Edie!
Perfect! What a classy look! I love everything monogrammed, and this is just fab. Thanks Darby!
I REALLY love these-My husband makes a homemade salad dressing he wants to make people for Christmas…I told him I would figure out a cute label…and now I CAN!
Thank you, this was GREAT, and me-techno challenged will give it a try!
I have already made 4 tassels and hope to make 4 aprons next week. Thanks SO much for the ideas. These labels will be so cute for our presents!
Well, I just found your blog, so now I have to spend the rest of my day going over the last 12 days! 🙂
Looks like lots of great ideas!!
Life in grace is the only way to live!
Since I don't know how to sew this is one of the things I actually CAN make! 🙂 Adorable!
How do yo do it if you have a mac? I love those tags and would like to try my hand at them. Not sure if there is a way on a mac computer.
What a great idea!
I don’t want the 12 days of Christmas to be over. I love looking everyday to see what goodies I can recreate. So far I’ve done the coasters, tassels, I bought a shirt yesterday to make apron, and have plans to make a batch of fudge for my Christmas goodies gift basket…..so much fun!!! It’s like saying good buy to your favorite TV show (for me it was Friends) or finishing a good book (Twilight). So much fun you just want it to go on forever.
Thanks Edie for organizing all of this :0)

Those are cute and will make the perfect finishing touch on Christmas gifts this year. Thanks for all the 12 days, I really enjoyed them all. Thanks for the chance to win the necklace!
i hate to even ask this, but are these to be cut out by hand? i cannot imagine having a steady enough hand to pull that off! is that what everyone is doing though?
I discovered Darby's blog when I started mine. My boyfriend's girlfriend and I love everything she has posted. I saw this on her site as well, and I plan to do these for my Christmas gifts, too! I've loved the 12 days of Handmade Christmas. Too bad it's over! If it weren't for Darby's blog, I would have never discovered yours. I look forward to seeing more of your blog in the future!
those seem super easy and a frugal way of making gift tags! love the 12 days of christmas tutorials!!
I love these labels and have really enjoyed the 12 days of homemade Christmas,, i'm gonna try some of them for sure. I'm practicing the labels right now.. Thanks so much for hosting this!
I also saw these on Darby's blog and made some. She is so awesome and I love her blog. I have had so much fun waking up every morning to these little surprises. I think I will really miss this series. So far I have made 3 little fabric birds, ragamuffin garland, and the Christmas tags. I plan on making the fudge recipe closer to Christmas. Thank you so much Edie and your friends for all the inspiration.
I found your blog on the day 2 of the 12 Days of Handmade Christmas and I truly enjoyed all of the tutorials. I just practiced the labels…what fun! I have started my ragamuffin garland. Thank you for hosting this, I will miss it.
Made these…wonderful. Course, Darby's blog is my favorite and everything she DOES is wonderful!!
In answer to CCB, I tried cutting them out by hand but mine didn't look good. I bought the circle cutter at Michael's with the 40% off coupon….works great!
This is fantastic! I will definitely be trying this out!
Thanks for sharing.

P.S. Edie, this whole series has been fantastic!! Thank you so much for putting it together.
Sis, I have enjoyed all the fun things to craft and make. My favorite is the candles and the tags. Both of which, I can do!! No sewing required. I am thinking of making cute candles putting them in cellophane bags with the cute labels. I must get to work. Thanks for doing the tutorials. What fun they have been!!
I love those gift tags! They are adorable. Thank yo for all fo the wonderful ideas this month. I really appreciate the opportunity at the necklace! I am a big fan of your blog! Thanks again!
Very cool idea! Thanks for doing this series, it's been lots o' fun!!
Dear Carol,
I made mine using a MAC and it was a bit different—just because the set up of the Word program is different–but I was able to follow it nonetheless and the labels turned out great. To start the process, make sure you formatting palette is showing (check it under 'view') and then you should be able to find how to add an object.
Thanks girls for letting me know all the stuff you've tried. I can't wait to try more of them myself!
Thanks for these 12 days! You've given me lots of good ideas to work on for Christmas…and a song to hum while working:)
This is the neatest idea. Your instructions were perfect! Thanks so much!
These are really fantastic! Thanks for the tutorial!
This was so much fun! Thanks!
I am gonna do this one!

I love it! Can't wait to give it a go, myself.
There are great! I usually spend a lot of time trying to find tags that match each year's wrapping perfectly, and now I don't have to–I can make my own!
I DID IT…wooHoo!!!! Thanks for the tutorials…there were a couple of places where I wasn't sure what to do, but I figured it out and now I have a cool label…thanks! I have never done anything like that before….
Thanks also for the fun 12 days of Christmas posts…I am hoping to try a few new things~ I only wish it were the 25 days of Christmas!
Very Fun!

One question….when I copy, should it copy everything in my circle, or just the circle?
I hope I am not too late, but even if I am…ant to say what a BEAUTIFUL necklace that is <3
Edie,
I have a stupid question – so did you buy sheets of paper that are sticky when you peel of the back. Maybe I missed that in the past, but not for sure what type of paper/labels to use. I am sooo excited to try this out!!!

I am sooo loving these handmade ideas! Please do this every year. A friend just gave me a bottle of homemade dish soap that smells just like pine (but not like pinesol). It's wonderful and has me getting into the Christmas mood every time I do dishes (that's a lot!). I got the "recipe" and would love to share that for next year! Jennifer 🙂
I have loved this series! Thanks so much for doing this for all of us 🙂

Hello there, You’ve done an excellent job. I will definitely digg it and personally recommend to my friends. I am confident they will be benefited from this web site.
Great post however I was wondering if you could write a
litte more on this topic? I’d be very grateful if you could elaborate a little bit more. Cheers!
Hi there, I enjoy reading all of your article. I like to write a little comment to support
you.
Currently it appears like Drupal is the preferred
blogging platform out there right now. (from what I’ve read) Is that what you’re
using on your blog?
I am starting up a online blog directory and was wondering if I can submit your blog?
I’m hoping to increase my directory gradually by hand so that it maintains good quality. I will make sure and put your website in the best category and I’ll also use, “12 Days of Handmade Christmas Tutorials Day 12 Christmas Tags” as your anchor text.
Make sure you let me know if this is okay with you by contacting me.
Many thanks
Whats up this is kind of of off topic but I was wondering if blogs use WYSIWYG editors or
if you have to manually code with HTML. I’m starting a blog soon but have no coding knowledge so I wanted to get guidance from someone with experience. Any help would be enormously appreciated!
Hello There. I found your blog using msn.
This is a really well written article. I’ll be sure to bookmark it and come back to read more of your useful info. Thanks for the post. I’ll certainly comeback.
you’re really a excellent webmaster. The web site loading speed is incredible. It kind of feels that you’re doing any distinctive trick.
Furthermore, The contents are masterwork. you have done a fantastic
task in this matter!
The on line setup is essentially three effortless actions.
Features a six-hour rechargeable battery and eight custom-tuned drivers.
These buttons are a very cool feature for the mouse,
so if you’ve never used a feature like this before, don’t be too intimidated not to try them out.
Hmm it looks like your blog ate my first comment (it was extremely long) so I
guess I’ll just sum it up what I had written and say, I’m thoroughly enjoying
your blog. I too am an aspiring blog blogger but I’m still new to the whole thing. Do you have any helpful hints for first-time blog writers? I’d really appreciate it.
Hey there! Do you know if they make any plugins to assist with SEO?
I’m trying to get my blog to rank for some targeted keywords but I’m not seeing very good gains.
If you know of any please share. Thanks!

I got this site from my friend who informed me on the topic
of this site and now this time I am visiting this website and
reading very informative articles at this time.
You really make it seem so easy with your presentation but I find this topic to be really something
that I think I would never understand. It seems
too complicated and extremely broad for me. I am looking
forward for your next post, I’ll try to get the hang of it!
