Prom Night and fighting back tears……

I cried silent tears at least half the way home from Cincinnati today.
I know it should be a fun day.
A day filled with joy.
And it would be…..if  this weren’t another ‘last’.  
So, I listened to Matt Kearney sing ‘Breathe In, Breathe Out’……
and I sighed heavy and remembered how
blessed I am to be a ‘joyous mother of children’.

    Okay…that is so not fair…Beautiful pictures, beautiful song and oh so beautiful and precious young ones! You make me cry Miss Edie. Wish I had been there tonight with you all. Thanks for letting me see my sweet little sister and her sweet boy on Prom night. At least I get to be there to see them all graduate! Can not wait!

    Love the pictures, love the song, your kids are so gorgeous and so is Taylors girl friend. I’m tearing up for you sista! Life is so precious, and they grow up way too fast.

    I was really liking the picture of your two big kids kissing you on either cheek and thinking how sweet Taylor is…then I saw him kiss “the other” girl and thought “HEY!!”……times they are a changing….is this one more thing I have to prepare for? I have four sons! What if one of them decides to kiss a pretty girl on the cheek. They wouldn’t!!

    OK. I’m over the shock that sons grow up and came back to tell you that Caiti is beautiful! Your kids seem like so much FUN!!! Where would they have learned that?

    i can only mimic what everyone else has said, edie! your children are beautiful and your pictures captured the evening beautifully! i think i need a tutorial on photography now! 😉

    now, i have to go check my house… i've develped this odd compulsion to check floors, nooks & crannies for slithering things before i retire for the evening…

    Edie–So, so sweet! I feel your sentimental pain! In a few short years, I will be where you are now. My oldest son is going to middle school in the fall!! He will be 12 in September and I am so nervous. We are starting down a different path and I hope he goes down the correct one! I know many changes are ahead! I have two girls–ages 6 and 4 and a new baby boy–7 weeks today! I love your blog and I thank you for all you share! I have established my blog page, but I am very nervous about starting! Looking forward to your next post!
